Role Summary: The RO Consistently grows the company’s product portfolio by marketing to individuals and groups, plans and directs portfolio activities to achieve agreed targets and standards, develop ideas on how to improve client satisfaction through product enhancement and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities and consistently grow the company’s product portfolio by proactively marketing individual loan facilities/products to suitable potential clients.
  • Interview, analyse and evaluate borrowers and potential borrowers with emphasis on risks and a particular focus on credit risk.
  • Cash flow Analysis.
  • Work closely with the entire branch staff to maintain a high degree of customer service levels and focus
  • Proactive loan/facility portfolio monitoring and management
  • Preparation of performance reports, work plans and activity reports
  • Achieve the monthly sales targets and always ensure 100% adherence to credit and lending policies and procedures.
  • Develop plans for the growth of the product and identify suitable clients.
  • Conduct client education on the features and requirements of new products.
  • Conduct loan/facility appraisals, and prepare and make appropriate credit recommendations to the credit committee.
  • Analyse loan/facility markets and develop referral network to locate prospects for loans/facilities.
  • Analyse applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine the feasibility of granting loans/facilities.
  • Review loan/facility agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.
  • Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Ensure that clients pay their loans/facilities on time.
  • Spend 80% of your time in the field marketing and serving clients

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in business-related discipline from a recognized college.
  • A business-related degree will be an added advantage
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in Individual Lending from a Microfinance Institution or Commercial Bank.
